South End, MA Homes for Sale

The South End is my pick for the most complete neighborhood in Boston: the country's largest intact Victorian row-house district, garden squares like Union Park that stop first-time visitors mid-sentence, and a restaurant scene that sets the city's bar. It's beautiful, walkable, and permanently in demand.

Almost everything I sell here is a condo carved from a bowfront row house — parlor duplexes, garden units with patios, top-floor units with private roof decks. SoWa anchors the gallery-and-market side of the neighborhood, and the newer elevator buildings along Harrison Avenue added an option the historic stock never offered. Parking and outdoor space are the two levers that move South End pricing most.

Back Bay station and the Orange Line handle the commute, and the Southwest Corridor park is the neighborhood's front lawn. My guidance: block and orientation matter enormously here, and so does the association's story. I walk clients through both before we ever talk numbers.
